Statement from the The Civic Arts Centre & Theatre Management Team
The Civic has had to close its doors this week. As you can imagine we are all devastated that the community that we have built up over 10 years has been wiped out. We don’t know if and when we will reopen but we are hopeful.
For now, we have moved any events that we can to the Autumn and cancelled any that it’s been harder to move (or easier to cancel). We hope this is all temporary and we can reschedule everything. In the mean time we have taken all events off sale until we know more. You can find out about date changes on our Facebook page.
Customers who have booked and paid for tickets for shows by online by Ticketsource need to direct all refund request direct to them. Please be aware of the stress Ticketsource are currently under and a response could take a while.
All other refund requests can not be processed at this time. Some of you may feel that you have lost money and we’re devastated by that too but livelihoods, a community charity, a business, an entire industry has been wiped out in the blink of an eye so we hope you understand. We hope that in 12 weeks time we can reopen with bigger and better events and everyone will be compensated.
We’re so sorry this has happened but we also know that it’s beyond our control. Please have faith and patience with us.
