Culture Recovery Fund
We are very pleased to be recipients of funding from the Culture Recovery Fund.
This funding was launched by the DCMS and managed via Arts Council, England to help organisations like ours survive over the next few months.
This will enable us to produce some new and exciting work over 2021, this includes 7 fantastic festival weekends. We can not confirm dates yet due to COVID but we can tell you a bit more about the weekend events. Each one will have a community event, a professional event and at least two workshop events.
Shakespeare (obviously we hope we can run this in April to coincide with his birthday but dates may change). There will be a Shakespeare themed murder mystery, a performance of one of his plays and then we are hoping to have a sword fighting workshop and an Elizabethan cooking demonstration.
Dance (date to be confirmed) bringing in dance styles and performances from around the world.
Space (date to be confirmed) educational and fun sessions for all ages.
Lads and Dads (date to be confirmed) family orientated fun.
Inclusivity (date to be confirmed) ensuring that we cater for all members of the community.
Puppetry (date to be confirmed) learn how to create and manage puppets, watch the professionals.
Carnivale (date to be confirmed - this will be the last of the festival weekends) a grand finale to our cultural recovery and a launch weekend for our autumn/winter programme.
As you can imagine we are still working on these and dates will need to be confirmed when it is safe to do so.
