Pioneer Project
We’re coming to the culmination of the Pioneer Project which is a new initiative to give young adults the opportunity to work in a creative environment and to gain valuable experience. Each Pioneer placement is working for seven hours a week on a different project. The Pioneer Project is funded by Lancashire County Council. During the first two weeks in June, this project will deliver a brand new play (written by Daniel McLaughlin and directed by Ryan Baron), a Battle of the Bands competition (managed by Nathaniel Dean, an exhibition of photography by Kirsty Fletcher, a timeline of the Queen’s Jubilee presented by Jessica Hill and an outdoor event managed by James Smyth and Dan McLaughlin. There is also a documentary project run by Lucy Fitzpatrick and anyone who wants to find out more about the Pioneer Project can download the newsletter that Lucy produces. All of these events will be held in early June and there will be more details about each event individually in the next bulletin.
